Nantucket Weekend Shirt and Short GIVEAWAY!!!! CLOSED.

nantucket weekend 1I'm so sorry it's taken me until this long to post a new giveaway. This week has been busier than usual for me. I normally finish my sewing projects on a Thursday but I needed to finish some MOPS work which ate up my entire day. Then Saturday we all spent the afternoon at Hersheypark. Fun. Fun. Fun. Lily had a great time. It was sort of a spur of the moment thing and in hindsight I wish I had made an outfit appropriate for the setting to post on Grosgrain. At any rate, I FINALLY finished this new outfit.

The black and white checked pattern and white trimmed shorts reminded me of the classic New England look. Unfortunately, here in Pennsylvania we don't have too many lighthouses. That would have been my ideal setting. My second plan was walking down to the local docks. However, sailboats just aren't practical here so the only watercrafts to photograph were either pontoon or paddle boats. Not very Nantucket.

This giveaway is for the shirt AND the shorts. Around the neckline of the shirt I sewed a ruffled collar. I also sewed a velvet black ribbon into the waist that ties at the front. The shorts are black with two pockets on the side. Both pockets are lined with white trim as well as the ends of the leg holes. Lily looked like she was ready to run to the market with her black and canvas bag. All she needs is a baguette and head of lettuce.

Lily is fairly thin for a four-year old. Case in point, she wore one of Molly's skirts to Hersheypark....A 6-9 month skirt! So I would say that this outfit would fit a child around 2T to 3T.

Last day for posts is Friday 8/15/08. Winner will be announced Sunday morning!

As usual, if you would like a chance to win this shirt and shorts just link back to this post. If you have any questions see the "questions and answers" link to the right. If you use blogger just use the "create a link" link at the bottom of this post. If you don't use blogger, that's fine too. Just create a link on your page as you normally would and I will see it using Technorati.

Once again, you have outdone your self!! This would be so stinkin' cute on Delaney!

I just have to ask how you find time to sew outfits and then just give them away??? If I ever made anything, I would frame it and keep it forever.

I would love to win this outfit for one of my girls. We have lots of lighthouses in the Northwest. My girls wear 4T-5T so it might be too small. If it is too small, we would happily give it to our 2 year old cousin. Her mother loves to sew and loves cute outfits. She would probably even accessorize the outfit with a fancy bow.

We're going to keep entering and hope that we win one of your great outfits someday!

barbarabaker said...

Oh how beautiful...I'd love to win this for the smallest of my girls. She is very small and actually still wears size 18-24 month clothing and she's five years old. She was born 6 weeks early and just the cutest little thing.

"GrammyAnn" here. The thing that amazes me the most, I think, is
your photography...the backgrounds...the poses...the 'props' and everything! And, of course all the clothes are really cute and interesting. Not to mention how
adorable Lily is. I imagine how you must have to work with her to get her to stand a certain way, etc. She must be getting used to it by now! Lily could be (and, in fact,is) a little model.

Gotta' run. I have to leave for work soon and don't know the difference between 'time' and
'eternity' when I'm on the computer writing to someone. It was fun watching Molly on Saturday. Have a nice day...
Love ya'll.
