Just tried the last hair post to run errands around town.
And yes, she is using a bobby pin in step 6 and also a clear rubber band in step 5.
I didn't use the clear rubber band just more bobby pins.

I tried it, too, without the bobby pin. It works, but my hair is layered now and I can't decide if the result is cute-messy or just a mess. :)
